Every fall, the Waltham Firefighters who dedicate their lives to helping you ask for your help.

During this period, a firm contracted by the Waltham Firefighters Union calls citizens and businesses in the community seeking financial contributions for our Local 866 solicitation fund.

The Local 866 Solicitation fund plays a key role in our ability to offer financial assistance to many organizations in the community in need of help.

It also funds many of our community service and charitable activities.

Additionally, we direct portions of these proceeds to our Welfare and Relief organization which assists firefighter's families in times of need.
It is important to note that the majority of the solicitation funds we receive from the contracted fundraising firms we employ go right back to the community.
